Winter Inspired Makeup Look by Rachel Maree Macintosh

So we all thought that purple eyeshadow was put to rest, well ladies it’s back in full swing with a twist of cranberry, blueberry, raspberry & all the berries for that matter!

All of those tones that you’re currently seeing in all the lipstick shades & even sweaters are STUNNING on the eyes … Or should I say on fleeeeek! It’s the first time I’ve ever said that I promise haha

Ok so here are the rules to keep it simple
1) Pick 2 or 3 eyeshadow shades minimum
2) Always put the warmest shade through the socket of your eye (Brown/Tan based)
3) Blend, blend and blend!!!!

Winter 1

Seal the deal with an upper eye liner (you can smoke out a pencil or use a gel for a crisp finish).

And of course add your favorite pair of falsies for a night out/ dramatic look.

If you’re not use to wearing colour on the eyes, I suggest to play down the lips with a nude/neutral lip colour. If you are the type that loves having your makeup stand out (like me) then try MAC Girl About Town (pictured) or Napoleon Perdis Calypso is great too.

Winter 2

For a step by step makeup tutorial on this look head over to my YouTube channel and watch my Collaboration with Alex-Whattheteacherwears.

I have some great tips and products to show you which I know you will love!

Alex what do you suggest to wear when choosing a berry makeup look?

Berries colours are often thought of as one of the hardest colours to wear. Berries match well with mixed neutrals  – such as white top and navy pants. Wear berry when wearing neutral outfits or combinations that have just a pop of colour.

Thanks for having me, until next time feel free to keep up with me on
