20 30 40 Adrift Clothing

Welcome to this month’s 20 30 40 post featuring another great Australian clothing label Adrift Clothing.

I’ve teamed up again with Cate from Individualstyle101 and Sarah from mummaaintmumsy.

Adrift has two stores in Brisbane and an outstanding online store too.

We chose to feature Adrift Clothing this month because we truly believe that there is something for everyone.

Not only do thy stock their own label Adrift, they also stock other great brands such as Betty Basics and Surafina.

On top of that, they cater for all sizes are they stock clothing from size XS to XXXXL.  Unlike most stores which stock limited ranges for plus size stores, Adrift generally run their range through all sizes.

It was hard to narrow it down to just the one item that we wanted to feature, but we finally got there in the end.

Here is the Adrift Splendour Shirt currently on sale for $45.

This is the perfect top for creating an easy boho vibe look.

As you can see, you can wear it with your favourite jeans or skirt.

The shirt is available in white, red, navy and blue and is available in an XS through to an XL (note we are all wearing an XS and are normally wear sizes 8 -10 in tops).

The shirt comes with a range of features including:

• Cotton/Rayon crinkle voile

• Fringe detail on bodice

• Lace up collared V-neckline with tassels (who doesn’t love a tassel).

• Full sleeve with elasticised cuff – great for pushing up and holding in place.

• Straight cut hemline falls to the hip

• Relaxed fit style

It is clear to see that the Splendour Top is a winner.

We have all worn it in very different ways, but they all work.

So for this month, each of us is going to give you our top tips on how to wear the Splendour Shirt.

First up is Cate, sharing her tips on how to wear the Splendour Shirt with heels.

Versatility is what you get when you purchase the Splendour Shirt
I chose to have a tucked in kind of day, with a little blouse out action.
The shirt drapes and there is no clinging around the middle, so tucking in your blouse and wearing a heel will create a longer leg.
The dark navy jean brings out the navy in the top. Adding the tan shoe gives the look a casual vibe ( I love pairing navy & tan ).
You could also add some natural accessories into the mix. I am a necktie gal at present, so have a play. Most good fabric shops sell leather strips, its a cheap way to see if the you like the look.
A white sneaker would also look spot on (like Alex has done) when summer comes around, this top is definitely coming to the beach with me over my swimmers!!
Next up, Sarah is sharing her tips on how to work this top for your body shape and which denim to wear.

The Splendour Shirt is a ripper if you love to wear a tunic style top out over pants to cover the backside and stomach, enjoying a relaxed fit.

Some tunic style tops do not flatter the neckline and arms, as they have too much fabric, however, this one opens up the neckline beautifully, spot on if you’re looking to narrow broad shoulders.

The shirt drapes over the body perfectly and looks fabulous styled with ripped, distressed or even white denim for an edgy boho vibe.

Add some neutral sandals for the warmer months, or boots (as seen in the picture) for the cooler days, some fun gold jewellery stacks, big sunnies and you’re all set for a picnic, play date, coffee catch up, you name it!

Adding in the light or white denim allows the pattern of the shirt to stand out and be the hero of the outfit.

Finally, it’s my turn and I am sharing my tips to keep it casual.

Can you wear sneakers with this top? Most certainly.

Add a pair of crisp white or metallic kicks to keep it casual, but fun.

Plus by adding a white or metallic pair of sneakers, the pattern in the top is drawing the attention.

You can easily team the Splendour Shirt with a skirt or shorts.

I can see myself wearing this top at the beach over my swimmers when the weather warms up. Because of the cotton/rayon crinkle voile material, it is super light weight.

Perfect for packing.

Which colour is your favourite?

I am wearing the red which you can find here.

Cate is in the white here.

Sarah is rocking the blue here.

How would you wear the Splendour Shirt?
