Brisbane Teacher Meet

Add 23 fabulous teachers + NEXT Hotel Brisbane + TheTKCollective Photography + A picturesque Brissie day and what do you get?

The first (of many) Brisbane Teacher Meets.

I had seen these meets throughout other states and thought that we could do with one up here in Brisbane. And what a fantastic event it turned out to be.

We were super lucky that one of the teachers who attended (Taylor) is also a professional photographer plus blogger and was our superstar photographer on the day. You can find her blog the The TK Collective here. Note – all images were taken by The TK Collective.

When choosing the perfect venue, I simply couldn’t go past NEXT Hotel Brisbane.

I did a shoot here earlier in the year and the Pool Bar and Terrace was where our event was held.

It was the perfect spot to host the first BTM not only for it’s amazing location, smack bang on Queen St but the food and drinks were simply divine.

As I had to keep numbers limited to 25 for our first event, I randomly selected teachers through a blog that I did before the event.

I am hoping to gain a major sponsor for the next event so we can have more teachers attend.

We had a great mix of primary, high school and administration in our group. Plus some teachers were from the public sector and others work in the private system.

I had also organised some goodie bags and lucky door prizes for the day.

A huge thank you to Birdsnest who supplied each teacher with a fabulous red bag that had some goodies inside.

If you are after new ‘teacher clothes’ Birdsnest have you covered. I have a few pieces from them in my wardrobe.

And thank you to

Point to Point Education

For adding vouchers, hair bands, pens and lanyards into our bags.

A special thank you to Twinkl who supplied each teacher with their very own Twinkl travel mug. A lot of the teachers were excited by these mugs as they are ideal for the classroom.

Before the day was over, it was time to draw the lucky door prizes which included:

Congratulations to all of the winners on the day and thank you to all the companies who got on board.

It was a great day had by all and I am already looking forward to the next one.

It looked like you all had a ball 🙂 Also, thank you for your kind words. Twinkl Australia were absolutely ecstatic that we were able to provide some goodies for the amazing teachers who attended. We look forward to the next Brisbane Teacher Meet Up!
